Woodlands Historic Park
Woodlands Historic Park truly is a hidden treasure in Melbourne’s north. The park is adjacent to Melbourne Airport, covers an area of about 820ha and is bordered by Oaklands Road to the west, Sunbury Road to the south-west, Mickleham Road to the east and Somerton Road to the north. Woodlands lies within the City of Hume and is managed by Parks Victoria. There are so many different areas to explore, so much diverse flora, a wide range of birdlife and a large kangaroo population.
Gibson steps
Experience incredible views of the Gog and Magog sea stacks from either the lookout or the beach. Take in the amazing view from the lookout at the top, or if the tide and swell conditions are safe, descend the steep 86-step staircase to the beach for another prespective.
